Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Leap Institute ("we", "us") is a skills-development provider based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, Act 4 of 2013) and applicable international data-protection law.

2. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, profile photo (optional) and, if you enrol in a paid course, billing details processed by our payment provider. We also collect usage data — pages visited, courses opened, progress — to improve the service.

3. How we use it

We use your information to: (a) provide and personalise the platform; (b) process payments and issue certificates; (c) communicate about courses, accreditation, and account activity; (d) meet our legal obligations to QCTO and SETA bodies.

4. Sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only with: (a) infrastructure providers (Lovable Cloud, Stripe, Google) under contract; (b) accreditation bodies where required for certificate issuance; (c) law-enforcement on lawful request.

5. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to direct marketing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (SA) at inforeg@justice.gov.za.

6. Retention

Account and learning records are kept for the duration of your account and for up to 5 years after closure to satisfy accreditation audits.
